 https://sundaystealing.blogspot.com/
This week's Sunday Stealing is Questions for Readers.

1. Why did you pick the book? The title and the cover caught my attention.

2. What did you think about the book? It was better then I expected.

3. What do you know about the author? I do not know anything about the author.  This is the first book I read by this author.

4. What’s the most memorable scene? No particular scene stands out.

5. How did the book make you feel? Mad, sad, confused.

6. How do you feel about the way the story was told? It was told well. However, there seem to be too many plot twists.

7. Which parts of the book stood out to you? Nothing particular stood out.

8. Which specific parts of the protagonist can you relate to? I can relate to her wanting to find out what happened and how she can't seem to let go of the past.

9. Which character did you relate to the most? The main character.

10. Share a line or passage from the book. "We stand there for a while in silence, watching, until with a last flurry of song, the robin flies away."

11. What did you think about the ending?  It was not what I expected.

12. Is the story plot driven or character driven? I think it was character driven.

13. If the book was made into a movie, what changes or decisions would you hope for? Less twists so that there is less confusion.

14. How did the book change you? The book did not change me.

15. If the book is part of a series, how does it stand on its own? This book was not a part of a series.

30 Days of Love - Day 16: Books and Reading

Day 16 is dedicated to Books and Reading

I love to read and I read a wide variety of books, magazines, news articles, blogs and more. I read as much as I can each day whether I am at work and at home. Books have always brought peace to my little world. I love to escape into a good book and forget all the troubles and craziness going on around me.

My favorite book of all time, one that I can read over and over is "Gone With The Wind" by Margaret Mitchell. I was quite young the first time I read GWTW and ever since then I have dreamed of being as beautiful as Scarlet.  I love her sassy and flirty attitude.  I love the thought of beautiful dresses, and being the belle of the ball.

Growing up I was (and for the most part I still am) an introvert.  Reading GWTW allowed me to dream of something that was, what I felt, the exact opposite of who I was/am.

Do you like to read?  Do you have a favorite book?  Please share in the comments below! :)

Teaser Tuesdays: "Shards"

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My teaser is from Shards by James V. Viscos

"The elves exchanged a glance; then Nameless shrugged and said, "No, it is not. We built it many years ago to divert the stream into a small cistern, so we no longer have to go down to the lake for water except when it is extremely dry."

Reading on Moody Mondays

This weeks Moody Mondays is all about reading! The following questions were asked....

What type of books do you like to read?
Do you have to be in the mood to read?
How often do you read?
Do you purchase books or visit the local library?
Do you own an e-reader?
Are you a member of Library Thing, Goodreads or any other online book site?
Do you like Amazon.com or Barnes & Noble or maybe a different site?

___________________________________________________________

I love to read and I read a wide variety of books.  I read as much as I can each day...at work and at home.  I read hard copy books, books on my Kindle and I borrow books from the local libraray.

I am a member of Library Thing, and Goodreads and visit both places equally.  I prefer purchasing books online through Amazon.com but as far as going to a bookstore I prefer to go to the local Barnes & Noble.

My favorite book of all time, one that I can read over and over is "Gone With The Wind" by Margaret Mitchell.   Since the first time I read the book I have dreamed of being beautiful like Scarlet...with men chasing me, having lots of money and a big, wonderful home with land like Tara.

Do you read books on an e-reader? Or do you prefer hard copy books?  I do read books on my Kindle.  But I still prefer an actual book.  I like the feel of a book in my hands and the smell of a new book.  I enjoy being the first person to open a new book...I open it to the middle, stick my nose in and take a deep breath.  I also love snuggling up on my couch or in bed with a warm blanket and a good book.
