Fourteen Years

 

Today, would have been our 14th official anniversary. However, we considered August 10, 2001 to be our special, unofficial anniversary (it is the day we had our first date).

Three years ago today, Riley Bean came into our lives. 

I am so very thankful to have her in my life.

I love her so very much.

Happy 15th Blog Anniversary to Moments of Introspection!

I started using Blogger as my main blog site on June 1, 2007. The original name of this blog was Simply Shannon, but I changed the name of the blog to Shannon's Moments of Introspection,  since I have a website named Simply Shannon. Then in 2012 I changed the name of this blog to Moments of Introspection. I felt my name did not need to be a part of the title. Currently, I do not blog as much as I did years ago, but this blog is still up and running!

Thank you to everyone that has visited me through the years and for your continued support! I love you all!

The original name of this blog was Simply Shannon, but I 

changed the name of the blog to Shannon's Moments of Introspection, 

since I have a website named Simply Shannon. 

Then in 2012 I changed the name of this blog to Moments of Introspection. 

I felt my name did not need to be a part of the title.

16 Years Ago Today...

 

16 years ago on January 28, 2005,

we got a beautiful boxer puppy that

we named Shelby. We really miss her.

Steve and I married ten years ago today, aka our official anniversary.

In 2012 after a deep conversation with a friend, I changed the name of this blog to
Moments of Introspection.  I plan on leaving the name as is.

I Miss You Mom

My mom, passed away on April 3, 1991 (24 years ago). She was killed in a nearly head-on automobile accident, five miles from home. It is hard to believe she has been gone for 24 years. I have been motherless for over half of my life...and that beyond sucks. :(

Mom and I did not get along very well as I was growing up BUT she was a great mother. I just wish that I had listened to some of her advice at the time she offered it to me. But I thought I was right and that she was just trying to run my life. I know better now. I miss her and love her very much.
