Rest in Peace Gidget

Taco Bell ad star Gidget the Chihuahua dies at 15

By ROBERT JABLON (AP) – 2 hours ago

LOS ANGELES — Handlers say Gidget the Chihuahua, whose Taco Bell commercials made her a star, has died. She was 15. The owner of Studio Animal Services in Castaic says Gidget suffered a massive stroke late Tuesday at her trainer's home in Santa Clarita and had to be euthanized.

Gidget was the sassy mascot in Taco Bell commercials from 1997 to 2000. While other dogs had bit parts, it was her bug-eyed, big-eared face that is seen pronouncing, in a dubbed male voice, "Yo quiero Taco Bell." The ads made the Taco Bell mascot wildly popular, although they provoked some criticism from activists who felt they used Mexican stereotypes.

Gidget also had a role in the movie "Legally Blonde 2."

A HEE HAW CLASSIC DITTY

Where oh where are you tonight?
Why did you leave me here all alone?
I searched the world over and I thought I'd found true love.
But you met another and PTHHP! you was gone.

You took out your false teeth, your wig and your glasses.
You were just scattered all over the place.
I wanted to kiss you and hug you so tightly.
I guess that I would have if I'd found your face.

I went to your house at three in the morning.
You had all them curlers and junk in your hair.
You would not have scared me and I'd not have run so,
If you had not looked like you'd wrestled a bear.

I told you my darlin' you looked like a gopher.
Made you so mad, you haven't spoke since.
But tell me my darling if you ain't got buck teeth.
How do you eat apples through a picket fence?

When I picked you up for our date last weekend.
You looked so pretty in your satin and lace.
But when I bent over and started to kiss you,
you popped a pimple all over my face!

1. You are a guest on the space shuttle. You just arrived on the moon and realize you forgot something back home that you can't live without. What is it and how do you convince them to go back and fetch it? I totally forgot my laptop! I MUST have it. We will go back and get it or every man on this ship will pay the price!

2. Pretend you are a teacher in a rough public school for one day. You have been assigned to teach Manners 101. You have the "challenging bad butt kids" class (remember this is a pretend school and anyway I can't say ass on my blog 'cause it's so unQueenly and I might get fined or something).
They are jumping up and down, cursing, and throwing things at you. What is the first thing you would write on the board? "My name is Dr. Death. I am here to collect souls."

3. Someone in your family or a friend has started a blog. They think it is anonymous but you have figured it out. They are saying derogatory things about you. Do you tell them or do you read it for awhile? How would you handle it? I would read it for awhile just to see how they really feel about me then I would confront that person(s). Depending on how our conversation goes will depend on if I ever talk to them again after that.

4. If you had one dollar left in your pocket, what would you spend it on? A Butterfinger candy bar out of the snack machine located downstairs at work.

5. President Obama and the First Lady are coming over for dinner. What do you serve? I have to cook? If I don't have to cook then I will pick up something on the way home from work...Subway or Taco Bell. Otherwise they can cook dinner for me.

6. You walk in on your lover. They are trying on your clothes. What do you do? Help him adjust them properly.

7. Every astronaut must have shots! Choose your vaccination: You only get one and you can't enjoy any of the attributes of the other choices. You choose either: (1) The fountain of eternal youth and sexual vigor but only for 10 years (2) perfect health for a lifetime (3) eternal mind-numbing nirvana and peace of mind (4) unlimited hedonism for one year with no negative consequences. I would like perfect health for a lifetime please! I am so tired of having medical and dental problems.

Trace Adkins - Every Light In The House Is On

I told you I'd leave a light on
In case you ever wanted to come back home
You smiled and said you appreciate the gesture
I took your every word to heart
'Cause I can't stand us being apart
And just to show how much I really miss ya

Every light in the house is on
The backyard's bright as the crack of dawn
The front walk looks like runway lights
It's kinda like noon in the dead of night
Every light in the house is on
Just in case you ever do get tired of being gone
Every light in the house is on

If I should ever start forgetting
I'll turn the lights off one by one
So you can see that I agree it's over
But until then I want you to know
If you look south, you'll see a glow
That's me waiting at home each night to hold ya

Every light in the house is on
The backyard's bright as the crack of dawn
The front walk looks like runway lights
It's kinda like noon in the dead of night
Every light in the house is on
Just in case you ever do get tired of being gone
Every light in the house is on

Name two things you consider yourself to be very good at: Listening to others and being kind.

Name two things you consider yourself to be bad at: Talking about myself and my feelings; and not sleeping on my days off.

Name one thing not many people know about you: I don't like large crowds or Christmas shopping in large crowds.

Pet Peeves

Yesterday I was in a discussion about pet peeves, then got into another discussion later on Facebook. So, I decided to begin listing pet peeves. Some came from my brain and others came from the discussions. If you think I am whining, you can kiss my ass :)
_________________________________________________________

Stupidity
People that think they are better than everyone else.
People that treat people wrong.
People that use God, better known as a hypocrite.

Vulgar talk at the dinner table.
Not washing hands after using the bathroom.
People who push alcohol at social functions.
Guys who leave the toilet seat up.
Shoes that "click" or "tap" when walking.
Someone running their nails across a chalkboard.
Someone standing over my shoulder reading the computer screen.
People that pick their nose while driving because they think no one can see them.
People who drive right up on my ass.
Neighbors who think no one lives around them and they scream and yell at 4am.
People who talk down to others and make them feel small.
Farting in public places
Messing with the toilet paper roll, leave it the way I put it.
People not having there dogs on a leash and let them charge at me &; my dogs.

When people walk their dogs past my house and allow that dog to potty in my yard!
Back Fighters
People that pop their gum.

You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4,
not with a parade of guns, tanks,

but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy,
and the flies die from happiness.
You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism.

I’d thank my lucky stars,
to be livin here today.
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can’t take that away.

And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

From the lakes of Minnesota,
to the hills of Tennessee.
Across the plains of Texas,
From sea to shining sea.

From Detroit down to Houston,
and New York to L.A.
Well there's pride in every American heart,
and its time we stand and say.

That I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

And I’m proud to be and American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

In the United States, Independence Day (commonly known as “the Fourth of July”, or “July Fourth”) is a federal holiday celebrating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from Great Britain.

Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, picnics, baseball games, and various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States. Fireworks have been associated with the Fourth of July since 1777.

I HOPE EVERYONE HAD A SAFE BUT HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!
