A Few of My Favorite Things: Apples
Today's Blogging A to Z Challenge, with my theme of "A Few of My Favorite Things", is all about the letter "A".
I love apples. Especially red delicious apples. I have one every day for breakfast and usually one in the afternoon for a snack.
Apples are part of the rose family.
The old saying "an apple a day, keeps the doctor away" comes from am old English adage, "To eat an apple before going to bed, will make the doctor beg his bread."
The science of apple growing is called pomology.
Apples are fat, sodium, and cholesterol free.
A medium apples is about 80 calories.
The largest apple picked weighed three pounds.
