Ten on Tuesday
Hosted by Yano

10 Memorable Vacation Moments
01. Visiting the Great Smoky Mountains every year for many years. The air is so crisp and clean and the landscape is beautiful.
02. Visiting Daytona Beach, Florida for the first time and seeing the beautiful beaches.
03. Visiting my Aunt in Kentucky when we were children. It was only a weekend trip but it felt like a grand adventure.
04. Visiting my Uncle in Oklahoma when we were children, because he lived on an Air Force Base. It was cool!
05. Visiting New Orleans...even though the traffic in town was horrible.
06. Visiting Gulf Port, Mississippi and other towns in Mississippi that are along the coastline. I love the beach.
07. Touring the USS Alabama and the submarine that was docked next to it.
08. Seeing the Daytona 500 racetrack and dog track that is also located there.
09. Seeing the Indians in North Carolina.
10. Visiting Atlanta, Georgia and seeing the Braves Stadium.

  3. We got to go to Camp Pendleton every year while my stepfather was doing his two weeks for the Naval Reserves. I shared your excitement about getting to be on a military base. What I loved most was the gigantic pool with the high diving platforms.

  5. Shannon, I have never been to any of the places you mentioned. There's so much of this country I haven't seen. :(

  6. Seems like you've been all over the south. I've only been to a few of those places. Some day you'll have to come west. (Or maybe you did, but you just didn't find it memorable? :-)
