Sunday Stealing: The King of the Beasts

This week's Sunday Stealing was stolen from a site called “Deviant Art”; from a lady whose handle is Nanacat36. She stated she stole it from EternalWhiteSkies.

1. Would you post a picture of you for us? I took this "selfie" in February 2016, as I was leaving work for the day.

2. Would you date an 18-year-old at the age you are now? Hell no!  

3. Do you prefer to work with women or men? Why? I prefer to work with men because women tend to be gossip too much, are petty and back stab each other.  However, in my current job, I work with quite a few women and for the most part they are awesome!

4. Do you have any opposite sex friends? Yes and one of my best friends is a man.

5. Can you commit to one person? Yes and I am committed to one person...my husband.  I have been committed to him from the very first day we met (which was over 15 years ago).

6. If you’re married or in a relationship have you ever been tempted to cheat? I have never been tempted to cheat on my husband.  I have been cheated on and I know the pain that causes.  I would never put someone I love through that kind of pain.  

7. Do you think your life will change dramatically before 2018? It already has. :(

8. If the person you are interested in says they like someone else, what would try to sway them? No.  I want that person to be happy not forced into something.

9. Are you good at hiding your feelings? For the most part

11. When was the last time you cried? About an hour ago.

12. Have you ever fell for someone you didn’t expect to? No. 

13. What is something you have to do tomorrow? I have to go to work.

14. Name something you dislike about the day you’re having. The hot temperature outside.  BUT I am not complaining because I would rather have hot/warm temps than snow.

15. Have you ever wanted more from one of your best friends of the opposite sex? No. Eww.

16. Have you ever wanted someone you couldn’t have? Yes...many, many years ago, while in high school.

17. Who was the last person you talked to before you went to bed last night? My husband.

18. Do you have someone of the opposite sex you can tell everything to? Yes.

19. When was the last time that you were jealous in a romance situation? Many, many, many years ago.

20. If you had to delete one year of your life completely, which would it be? That depends on what would happen if that year was deleted.  Will my son still be alive if I delete this year?  If so, then I will delete 2016 and bring my son back.

21. Did you have a good day yesterday? What did you do? It was an ok day.  I didn't have to work so I stayed home in the nice, cool house all day.

22. If a person you had wished you could have a relationship with for a long time and you suddenly found yourself together alone, what would you be doing right now? Not a damn thing except maybe talk.  I don't really like small talk so I would more than likely just leave.  

23. Do you replay things that have happened in your head? All the time!  This is why I don't sleep well.

24. Don’t tell me lies, is the last person you texted attractive? I don't need to lie...yes, she is attractive.  

25. Is your life anything like it was two years ago? Is it a good or bad thing? My life has changed drastically in the last two years....more specifically the last 5 months.  In early February 2016, my son, Colt) was diagnosed with Acute Myloid Leukemia.  Colt passed away on March 10, 2016....31 days after being diagnosed.  A large part of my heart and soul have been ripped away.  So, I would say the change in my life has been a bad thing.

donkey and the cart); and I really love the hanging basket of 

blueish flowers I found the other day.   If you look in the far, 

right corner of the photo, you can see my dog, Shelby, hanging

out in the back yard. :)

Question 3: Who is your Favorite Blogger? I have several...see my partial list on the right side of this blog under "Places I Visit Online" and "Pixels, Scrap Kits and Etc".

Question 4: If you could meet anyone (dead or alive), who would it be and what is interesting about them? My dad's parents.  They both died before I was born. I would like to find out more about my dad's side of the family.

Question 5: What did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be a Computer Programmer in the United States Air Force.

Question 6: What is the most interesting piece of Trivia that you know? Dog’s nose prints are as unique as a human’s finger prints and can be used to accurately identify them.

Question 7: If you could live in any point of history when would it be and why? I would not mind living in the "Gone With The Wind" days.  I love the beautiful dresses and plantation houses.  However, I do not agree with slavery so I would run the farm myself.

Question 8: What do you think of the election in the U.S. so far? I have not been paying much attention to the election. Politics and politicians get on my nerves.

Question 9: What is your favorite TV drama? What do you like about it? Game of Thrones because it keeps me on the edge of my seat. 

Question 10: What is the most interesting job you've ever had? My current job.

Sunday Stealing: My Friends Call Me Tulip

Can you stay inside all day without getting bored? Yes and I do this often.

Tell us about a TV show that we should watch. Game of Thrones is good....but read the books first because the books are even better.

When was the last time you were at your home computer all day? Yesterday

What websites other than your own do you visit daily? Facebook, Pogo, several blogs, Yahoo, Google, CNN, and a few newspapers.

Do you have a favorite day of the week? Why? Friday is my favorite day of the week because it is the last day of the work week...and I know I have two days off after Friday.

Did you ever watch Saturday morning cartoons? What was your favorite? The Smurfs 

Were you a comic book fan? I am still a fan of Batman, Ironman and Groot.

Did you earn an allowance when you were a kid? How much? Was it tied to chores? I had an allowance as a kid but I had to do chores (clean my room, dishes, feed the animals).

What is the fanciest type of car you've ridden in? What occasion? I went on a date many years ago where the guy picked me up in a 1964 1/2 Mustang (my dream car and to me a fancy car).

Whats your favorite sport to watch? Football

Ever tried surfing? Yes, and I was not very good at it.

Have you ever been to a live major team sporting game? I have been to many St. Louis Cardinals baseball games and a few Kansas City Royals games.

From a scale of 1 to 5 how athletic are you (1=nerd, 5=very athletic)? I am a 2.

What's your favorite horror movie? I have many...Shaun of the Dead, Zombieland, The Shining, and a few others.

What is your favorite cult classic movie? Beetlejuice.  I also like The Lost Boys.

About how many times do you go to the movies a month? I go to the movies once or twice each year.  I would rather watch movies at home because crowds get on my nerves.

Favorite movie, which one came to your head first? Gone With The Wind

What if your life was like a movie? What type of movie would it be? A tragic comedy.

Do you like long series movies, like "Lord of the Rings"? Of course (the books are better though).

Sunday Stealing: Meal Skipper

This week's Sunday Stealing was stolen from Tumblr Surveys, Surveys for fun!

1. Do you skip meals sometimes? I usually skip breakfast when I get up early in the morning.  I would rather have an apple for a snack within an hour or two of waking up.

2. Last time you overate? Last week on Memorial Day.

3. Do you like Mexican food? I do like Mexican food as long as it is not too spicy.

4. Do you like Chinese food? I like most Chinese dishes...as long as it is not spicy.

5. Do you like Italian food? I like a few Italian dishes.

6. Do you like American food? I do like American food.

7. Have you ever been on a diet? I have been on many, many diets and I am still fat (but working on losing weight).

8. Do you like vegetables?  Yes, with a few exceptions.

9. On a scale from 1 to 5 how much do you eat a day (1= not eating, 5= eating 3 meals)? 3...I eat one or two meals per day but I snack a lot.

10. Do you think you eat healthily? Not really

14. Would you want to change anything? Yes...my weight.

Super Shelby With Laser Eyes

Last week, we celebrated my husband's birthday at my in-law's house.

Shelby liked the tissue paper from the gifts so I made her a super hero

cape to wear around the house.  Fun times at Grandma's house!

Then last night at bedtime I took a photo of Shelby begging for

a bite of my bologna sandwich.  The flash from the camera gave 

Shelby laser eyes! Hehe  So of course she got a bite of sandwich!

The original name of this blog was Simply Shannon.  I changed the name in July 2007 to Shannon's Moments of Introspection,  since Simply Shannon is the name of my personal web site. Then in 2012 I changed the name again, this time  to Moments of Introspection. I didn't feel that my first name really needed to be a part of the title.
