eCard of the Week #133: A Strong Person
A strong person is not the one who doesn't cry.
A strong person is one who is quiet and sheds
tears for a moment, and then picks up her
sword and fights again.

Shelby's Ear Surgery
Yesterday, March 25, 2016, Shelby had to go to the vet to have the tumor on her ear removed. Shelby was not happy about getting up super early in the morning. She also she was even more unhappy that she could not have anything to eat....not even bacon treats!
This first photo I took of Shelby staring at her bacon treats....she was also whining. But I did not give in and she did not get any treats.
We picked up Shelby around 4:00PM the same day. This next photo is one I took of her as we were leaving the vet. Shelby's ear looks so much better! The vet gave Shelby a new bandanna...tiger print!

Richard Colt Hazlett was born on November 8, 1992 in Farmington, Missouri, to Richard Patrick Hazlett and Shannon Pinkley-Hazlett. Colt passed away after a very short, intense battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on March 10, 2016 in Dallas Texas.
In February 2011, Colt graduated from Bangor High School in Bangor, Wisconsin. He joined the United States Army and took Basic/AIT in Fort Benning, Georgia. After training, Colt was stationed for a year in the State of Washington. After the Army, Colt worked various jobs but mostly in the oil field and construction.
Colt was preceded in death by his grandparents, William "Bill" Pinkley and Vickie Sue Henson-Pinkley, both of Annapolis, Missouri.
Colt is survived by his parents, Shannon & Steve Wamsley of Bangor, WI; father, Richard P. Hazlett of Desloge, MO; son, Colton Hazlett of Arkansas; sister, Vickie Reece of Dixon, MO; grandparents, Charles & Judith Wamsley of La Crosse, WI; grandmother Betty Hazlett of Missouri and grandfather, Patrick Hazlett of Missouri.
Colt is also survived by his uncle/aunt Brian & Christina Pinkley of Annapolis, MO; Michael and Tami Wamsley of La Crosse, WI; and Brian & Sarah Hazlett of Farmington, MO. Colt is survived by many loving cousins (Amy Neel of Missouri, Brandon Hazlett of Missouri, Joseph Hazlett of Missouri; their spouses...and so many more), additional family and a host of wonderful friends.
Thank you to Gemini Alexander Brooks for being with Colt. Words will never be able to express the gratitude I feel. You have a beautiful soul and I feel truly blessed to call you my friend.

eCard of the Week #132: Loving Memories
Loving memories of a Special Son.
To lose someone so special is really hard to bear
it hardly seems believable that you're no longer there.
You left us far too early before your time, it seems
and now you'll never have the chance to fulfill all those dreams.
However hard it is though, we'll take comfort in the thought
of all the memories we have and the happiness you brought.
You always lived life to the full but ours won't be the same
until the day we see you smiling face again.
