Sunday Stealing: Stolen from "How Far Will You Go?"

Welcome to this week's Sunday Stealing, which was stolen from "How Far Will You Go?".
1. What have you been the most ignorant about in your life?

Politics.  I try my best to ignore all the ads on tv, and in the mail, online and everywhere. I don't want outside negativity to sway my opinion, I only want facts.

2. What in the world would you most like to see protected?

Dogs and children.

3. How do you waste the biggest chunk of time each day or week?

Working at the office and at home.

4. Who is the scariest person you've ever known?

An ex-coworker.

5. What was the job you enjoyed the least?

Working in an onion ring factory.  I was pregnant at the time and the smells of the factory made me ill.

6. What thing about your family are you the most proud of?

Our ability to stay connected even though the miles separate us.

7. What kind of power do you want most?

The power to live forever.

8. What's the best piece of advice you ever received?

The best piece of advice was to move to Wisconsin, which I did in 2009.  Living is Wisconsin has been an awesome experience.

9. What's the thing you know the most about?

My job.

10. When were you most moved by a ceremony?

During my son's graduation from Army Basic/AIT.

11. What is the best gift you ever gave to someone?

I crocheted my husband a shawl that was long enough to keep his legs warm. He had a below the knee amputation on both legs and poor circulation so that shawl helped him stay warm.

12. What is the cruelest thing you've ever suffered?

Many things....Sexual abuse, mental abuse, emotional abuse, the death of my son, watching my husband die.

13. What's the single nastiest thing you've ever done to someone?

I would rather not say.  It is a huge regret I have in my life.  Nothing I can say or do can every fix it or make it better.

14. What problem do you think is most common among friends your age?

Empty nest syndrome and/or loneliness.

15. What is the strongest craving you get?

The strongest craving I get is for homemade chicken and dumplings.  And not just any old homemade chicken and dumplings....my mom's homemade chicken and dumplings.

  1. How do you get your "facts" about politics?
I would LOVE to work in an onion ring factory, if I could take samples!
    So sorry about your son's death; I lost one son in 1996 and another in 1999 (ages 24 and 30). {{big hugs}}
