Sunday Stealing: From The New York Times

This week's Sunday Stealing were stolen from The New York Times.

1. Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest?

My family in Missouri.  I miss them all very much.

2. Would you like to be famous? In what way?

I do not want to be famous, I just want to be rich. so I can live out the rest of my life in comfort.

3. Before making a telephone call, do you ever rehearse what you are going to say? Why?

It depends on who I am calling.  If it is work related I rehearse what I am going to say so that I do not get tongue tied during the call.

4. What would constitute a “perfect” day for you?

A perfect day would be staying home all day with nothing to do but sit and relax.

5. When did you last sing to yourself? To someone else?

Earlier this morning.  I also sang to my dog this morning.

6. If you were able to live to the age of 90 and retain either the mind or body of a 30-year-old for the last 60 years of your life, which would you want?

I would prefer to have the body of a 30 year old so that I am healthier.

7. Do you have a secret hunch about how you will die?

I do not.

8. Name three things you and your partner appear to have in common.

We both like to play video games. We both love dogs and we both like eating breakfast any time of the day.

9. For what in your life do you feel most grateful?

I am currently most grateful for being able to work for home.  My husband has some very serious health issues and I need to be home with him.

10. If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be?

I would have spoken up about things that were happening to me so that those things stopped sooner rather then later in my life.

11. Describe your life in one paragraph.

My life is filled with taking care of my husband, dog and house, as well as with work.  I try to take time for myself but that doesn't always work out. So here I am.

12. If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one quality or ability, what would it be?

The ability to live longer.  I do not want to die....ever.

13. If a crystal ball could tell you the truth about yourself, your life, the future or anything else, what would you want to know?

I would want to know what is my true purpose in life.  Am I on that right path to reach that purpose or do I need to adjust.

14. Is there something that you’ve dreamed of doing for a long time? Why haven’t you done it?

I have dreamed of going to Ireland nearly all my life.  I plan to someday.  I just need to save money and make reservations.

15. What is the greatest accomplishment of your life?

My children.

  1. Being a loved one's caregiver is a tough job. I know it is hard. Do make sure to take care of yourself and ask for help when you need it.

  2. I hope you make it to Ireland. It is wonderful. My mother-in-law is in declining health and my husband and his siblings are taking care of her. Being a caregiver is tough.
