Sunday Stealing: Senior Life

This week's Sunday Stealing is from Story Worth.
1. What is the farthest you have ever traveled?

I believe the furthest I have ever traveled is around 1300 miles, one way.

2. Who did you date while in high school?

I did not date anyone.  I had a friend that was a boy but we didn't date.

3. What is one of the worst trips you've ever taken? What went wrong?

A trip to Galveston, Texas back in 1989. Our truck broke down, we had no food and no money.  We finally ended up limping the truck along until we got back to a truck stop near Mount Vernon, MO. We had to leave the truck there and get a ride from a friend.

4. How do you like to spend a lazy day?

Laying in bed, snuggling with my dog as we watch tv until we fall asleep.

5. How old were you when you found out that JFK had been assassinated? How did it affect you?

I was not even alive when JFK was assassinated. It did not affect me.

6. Who has been one of the most important people in your life?

My brother.

7. What is one trait you would most like to improve in yourself?

I need to learn to be more patient with others.

8. Did you date someone in college?

I did not go to college until I was an adult, with two kids.  I did date while attending college but nothing serious until I met my current husband.

9. What was your dream car?

My dream car is still a 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang.

10. Did you have a family member you wish you'd gotten to know better?

My grandparents (mom's parents).

11. Tell me about your greatest gardening success.

I am still working on that.

12. What was your Dad like when you were a child?

Hard working, stubborn and he drove mom crazy.

13. What is the best job you've ever had?

My current job is the best job I ever had.  I actually enjoy what I do, no matter how crazy it drives me. I also have some top notch, awesome coworkers.

14. What are your favorite songs?

The Sound of Silence by Disturbed,

15. If you could choose any talents to have, what would they be?

The talents I would choose would be the ability to speak more clearly in public, and to be better at creating graphics.

  1. Like you, I had friends who were boys, but not a boyfriend.
I'm older than so many people here but it's sweet that we share so many things.
Keep working on the gardening thing. Trust me, it gets fine after awhile..
    Enjoy your week.
