This week's Sunday Stealing was stolen from Life Entirely.

1. Something someone told you about yourself that you never forgot?

10. Think of a word. Search for it on Google images. Write something inspired by the 11th image.

Sunday Stealing: From Bankerchick

This week's Sunday Stealing was stolen from Bankerchick.

1. Tell us about any lawn or garden plans you have for this month.

I just move to a new house so I do not have any lawn or garden plans for this month.

2. "Many things grow in the garden that were never sown there."~Thomas Fuller What does this quote mean to you?

Good things or bad things may grow there, either of which you should be open minded about.

3. What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think about God?

Going to church with my grandparents, when I was a kid.  My Grandpa always fell asleep and he snored.

4. If we were chatting in person, how would I know if you were nervous.

I would be giggling, laughing or possibly fidgeting a lot.

5. Do you like the color yellow? Would I find any in your home or wardrobe?

I don't mind the color yellow.  I don't think it is a good look for me though.  I do have some yellow mums (flowers) outside of my house.

6. Daffodils, tulips, roses, sunflowers, day lily, black-eyed Susan...which yellow bloom on this list is your favorite?

Of these choices, I prefer sunflowers.

7. Flip flops or bare feet?

I prefer bare feet when I am in the house and Crocs when I am out in the yard.

8. Fish out of water, big fish in a small pond, living in a fishbowl, packed in like sardines, this is a fine kettle of fish, plenty of fish in the sea, fish or cut bait...which fishy phrase most recently applies to some area of your life?

Packed in like sardines applied to my life, which is why I moved to a new, bigger home.  I do miss my old house but there just was not enough room there for us.

9. Have you ever been fishing? Did you catch a fish? If so did you keep it or throw it back? If you haven't been fishing is that something you'd like to try?

I have been fishing many times in my life....to many times to count.  I have caught many fish...again, to many to count.  I have not been fishing in a long time though.  I miss being on the riverbank, relaxing and enjoying nature.

10. What's something you're always fishing for in your purse, wallet, desk, or kitchen junk drawer?

I am always fishing for my wallet that is in my purse or my cell phone.

11. Your favorite fish tale or movie?

Finding Nemo
12. Are you sunrise, daylight, twilight or night? Explain why you chose your answer.

On workdays, I am sunrise.  I get up before the sun and watch the sun rise as I begin my workday.  Sunrise motivates me to get moving and get work done, even though I "hit my wall" around lunchtime.

13. What's the oldest piece of clothing you own and still wear?

I have a pink, short sleeved, shirt that is about 20 years old that I still wear. I don't wear it out in public though, it is only a sleep shirt now.

14. What's been the best and worst part of your summer so far?

The best part has been moving to a new house.  The worst part was moving.

15. Are you a Jimmy Buffett fan? If so, what's your favorite JB tune?

I like Jimmy Buffett.  My favorite tune by Jimmy Buffett is "Come Monday".

Never Forget 9-11-2001

A flag of honor, a flag for reflection

It stands for us all uniting this nation.
It will keep in our minds this tragic day,
Memories of such heroic acts shall not go away.

As we look on this flag of cloth and thread,
A field of bright red for the blood that was shed.
Not just on this day of lasting memories,
But for lives that were given throughout history.

Two towers of strength that rose up so high,
Reaching for dreams, they stretched to the sky.
They lay now in ruin at the hands of hate,
Great symbols of our nation have met this fate.
Out nation's military housed in a fortress of steel;
We're reminded this day that war is so real.
Hitting the heart of our power and might,
Rise up America, this terror we must fight!

Stars that shine on a field of bright blue,
Remind us of heroes with hearts so true.
An ordinary day, it had started out to be,
Soon their lives would be given for you and me.

A circle is drawn to stand for our nation's unity,
A nation coming together through such tragedy.
A reminder is given for all of America to see,
That our freedom is never really free.

"God Bless America" is written in white,
Make this your prayer each and every night.
God is always with us, He knows our needs
Bring America back to God, should be our decree.
Much was given, many were lost on this day,
A man of terror tried to take our spirit away.
Do not let our new found spirit and unity fade,
As you look on this flag, remember this day ...

Stuck In My Head: "Hold on to Memories" by Disturbed

Listen, everyone
The time will come when all of us say goodbye
Feel that aching in your heart
Leaving you broken inside
But we're never really gone
As long as there's a memory in you mind

So now go do the best things in life
Take a bite of this world while you can
Make the most of the rest of your life
Make a ride of this world while you can

Take the ones you love
And hold them close because there is little time
And don't let it break your heart
I know it feels hopeless sometimes
But they're never really gone
As long as there's a memory in you mind

So now go do the best things in life
Take a bite of this world while you can
Make the most of the rest of your life
Make a ride of this world while you can

And hold on to memories
Hold on to every moment
To keep them alive
The world's greatest tragedy
Souls who are not remembered
Cannot survive

So now go do the best things in life
Bring the fight to this world while you can
Make the most of the rest of your life
Shine your light on this world while you can

And hold on to memories
Hold on to every moment
To keep them alive
The world's greatest tragedy
Souls who are not remembered
Cannot survive

And hold on to memories (Hold on)
Hold on to every moment
To keep them alive (Keep them alive)
The world's greatest tragedy (Hold on)
Souls who are not remembered
Cannot survive

Leukemia Awareness Month 2020

September is Leukemia Awareness Month.
Leukemia is a type of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow.

There are many types of leukemia., one of which is Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).
My son, Colt was diagnosed with AML on February 8, 2016 and he died arch 10, 2016.
Colt was only 23 years old.
Learn the signs and symptoms of leukemia and learn how to talk to your loved ones if you have leukemia.  Hopefully one day there will be a cure and families will not lose their loved ones to this horrible disease.

Read more about leukemia... https://www.lls.org/
