Sunday Stealing: Friday Questions on Sunday

1. Have you ever tried to learn (or re-learn) a foreign language as an adult? Which one? What worked for you? As an adult I have tried many times to learn Spanish.  I only know a few words in Spanish, so I have not really found anything that works yet.

2. Do you donate blood? Do you know your blood type? I do not remember my blood type and I have not donated blood in many years.

3. Have you ever been in a play or musical? I have never been in a musical but I was in a few plays grade school/high school.

4. Do you use certain text or ring tones for specific people? Who gets their own? Or do you just use the default on your phone?  I have one ring tone and one text tone for everyone.  My ring tone is the song "Thunder" by Imagine Dragons, and my text tone is R2D2.

5. When did you get your first digital camera? Do you still shoot on actual film, or all digital now? I was around 30 years old (almost 20 years ago) when I got my first digital camera. I take all photos digitally now.

6. What do you think someone else would say the most daring thing you’ve done is? Moving to Wisconsin from Missouri.

7. Do you talk with your hands? I do talk with my hands and sometimes I do that even when I am talking on the phone!

8. Given the choice in a restaurant – would you go with a booth or table (or bar!!!) for seating? Booth please.

9. What kind of milk did you drink, growing up? And now? Fresh milk from the neighbor's farm.  Now I drink store brought milk, either Whole or Fat Free.

10. How do you keep track of all your passwords? Do you make your passwords super complicated and change them often, or use the same ones over and over? I have nearly all of my passwords memorized and I change them often.

11. Are you a note taker? Yes.

12. Do you remember what your first social media posting (or status update) was on Facebook or Twitter – without looking it up? What was it? I would have to look this up, I do not remember.

13. Do you have a “power” song? No.

14. Do you have an eclectic mug collection, or is your stuff all matchy matchy? Nothing I have is matchy.

15. Do you have a junk drawer in your house/garage/at work/wherever? I have several junk drawers....one at home, one in the garage, and one at work.

16. Do you ever get the urge to watch a favorite scene from a movie, and watch just that scene? Yes.

17. Have you ever woken up and felt guilty from a dream you had, or, mad at someone else for something they did in the dream?  I dream about my son every now and then and I wake up happy thinking he is in the house. Then I remember he died and I am sad and upset the rest of the day.  I wake up mad at my husband every now and then for things I dreamed aboui.

18. How old were you when you took your first commercial flight? To where did you fly? I was in my early 30's.  I went to Washington D.C.

19. Are you good at keeping track of your things – or do you easily misplace them? Do you ever leave anything behind when you travel? The older I get the more I misplace things and I find it to be very upsetting.  I have left things behind when I travel and that also upsets me.

20. Is there any place you go where time seems to stand still? What is it about that place that makes it that way?  Not really. I do get lost in thought sometimes, and I "snap out of it" thinking hours have passed when it really has only been a few minutes.

  1. It's sad that I never dream about either of our dead sons. I'd like to see them again. :(

  2. I dream about my Granie and Papa and also my dad who have all passed sometimes, but these dreams always make me happy and I seem to be able to let it got once I am awake. I probably have an easier time because they were all older when they passed. It would be so hard to lose a child. That is what my dream answer was about. I lost my son in my dream and it was very upsetting. He is alive though.

  3. enjoyed your answers, I am glad you dream of your son! but sorry the pain you deal with when you awaken. I dreamed of my dad for a few years after he passed and it helped greatly. Hope you have a blessed week

  4. Dreaming of those we love isn't a bad thing at all. I dream of what could have been with my daughter all the time. I also dream Mom and Dad sometimes... but when I dream Mom I sometimes still see her dying in the hospital bed so I try not to dream that. Hang in there my friend. Have a blessed week. Love to you.
