Throwback Thursday: At The Circus

This photo was taken in 2001 around Fort Leonard Wood, MO.
Colt (my son), Vickie (my daughter) and I went to the circus.
I felt so bad for the poor kitty. :(
The circus people had the kitty drugged to keep her calm. :(

Ten Signs You May Love Your Dog More Than People:

Ten Signs You May Love Your Dog More Than People:

1. You love watching horror movies. But you’re horrified if a dog gets hurt.

2. You dread being invited out because you’d rather stay home and play with your dog.

3. You get annoyed when people aren't tidy. But it’s adorable when your dog’s toys are scattered all over the place.

4. If a friend ignores your dog…No repeat invites or holiday cards again.

5. You’re happiest when you can’t move because your dog is asleep in your lap.

6. You don’t like sharing your food with anyone except your dog.

7. If your spouse steals the covers you get irritated. If your dog does it you smile.

8. People who walk slowly bug you. But it’s fine when your dog stops to sniff every blade of grass.

9. No matter what you’re doing, you can’t wait to run home and kiss your dog.

10. If someone says, “He’s just a dog,” you never speak to that person again.

Earth Day 2016

Earth Day, celebrated in the US on April 22, is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment. It was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in in 1970 and is celebrated in many countries every year.

The first Earth Day on April 22, 1970, activated 20 million Americans from all walks of life and is widely credited with launching the modern environmental movement. The passage of the landmark Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act and many other groundbreaking environmental laws soon followed. Growing out of the first Earth Day, Earth Day Network (EDN) works with over 50,000 partners in 192 countries to broaden, diversify and mobilize the environmental movement. More than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world.
Please visit EarthDay.org for more information.

Rest in Peace Prince

Dig if you will the picture
Of you and I engaged in a kiss
The sweat of your body covers me
Can you my darling
Can you picture this?

Dream if you can a courtyard
An ocean of violets in bloom
Animals strike curious poses
They feel the heat
The heat between me and you

How can you just leave me standing?
Alone in a world that's so cold? (So cold)
Maybe I'm just too demanding
Maybe I'm just like my father too bold
Maybe you're just like my mother
She's never satisfied (She's never satisfied)
Why do we scream at each other
This is what it sounds like
When doves cry

Touch if you will my stomach
Feel how it trembles inside
You've got the butterflies all tied up
Don't make me chase you
Even doves have pride

How can you just leave me standing?
Alone in a world so cold? (World so cold)
Maybe I'm just too demanding
Maybe I'm just like my father too bold
Maybe you're just like my mother
She's never satisfied (She's never satisfied)
Why do we scream at each other
This is what it sounds like
When doves cry

How can you just leave me standing?
Alone in a world that's so cold? (A world that's so cold)
Maybe I'm just too demanding (Maybe, maybe I'm like my father)
Maybe I'm just like my father too bold (Ya know he's too bold)
Maybe you're just like my mother (Maybe you're just like my mother)
She's never satisfied (She's never, never satisfied)
Why do we scream at each other (Why do we scream, why)
This is what it sounds like

When doves cry
When doves cry (Doves cry, doves cry)
When doves cry (Doves cry, doves cry)

Don't cry (Don't Cry)

When doves cry
When doves cry
When doves cry

When doves cry (Doves cry, doves cry, doves cry
Don't cry
Darling don't cry
Don't cry
Don't cry
Don't don't cry

Stuck In My Head: "6th Avenue Heartache" by The Wallflowers

"6th Avenue Heartache"

Sirens ring, the shots ring out
A stranger cries, screams out loud
I had my world strapped against my back
I held my hands, never knew how to act

And the same black line that was drawn on you
Was drawn on me
And now it's drawn me in
6Th Avenue heartache

Below me was a homeless man
I'm singin' songs I knew complete
On the steps alone, his guitar in hand
It's fifty years, stood where he stands

And the same black line that was drawn on you
Was drawn on me
And now it's drawn me in
6Th Avenue heartache

Now walkin' home on those streets
The river winds move my feet
Subway steam, like silhouettes in dreams
They stood by me, just like moonbeams

And the same black line that was drawn on you
Was drawn on me
And now it's drawn me in
6Th Avenue heartache

Look out the window, down upon that street
And gone like a midnight was that man
But I see his six strings laid against that wall
And all his things, they all look so small
I got my fingers crossed on a shooting star
Just like me-just moved on

And the same black line that was drawn on you
Was drawn on me
And now it's drawn me in
6Th Avenue heartache
