Monday Quiz - Decorations and Parties

Acting Balanced

Welcome to Monday Quiz About Me hosted by Acting Balanced!

Here are FOUR QUESTIONS that everyone can answer and then you have the option to add a fifth question of your own for those who are visiting your blog to answer in the comment section, along with commenting on the four standard questions you answered! Come play along!

This weeks Questions:

1. Do you decorate outdoors for the holidays?
2. What is the best thing about office Christmas parties?
3. Gloves or Mittens?
4. What do you think of Secret Santas?

For my 5th question this week:
What do you really want for Christmas this year?

My Responses:
1. I put a few decorations outdoors but only ones that I can take down easily.  It gets rather cold here in Wisconsin and it snows quite a bit.  I don't feel like digging Christmas decor out of the snow and I don't want to leave the decor out until spring.

2. Getting out of the office for a few hours.

3.  I prefer gloves.

4. I don't like Secret Santas. But I also don't like surprises.

5. I want to see both of my children and my brother.

  3. Mostly I want a healthy grandson! He is due to be born right around Christmas and I just want a nice, easy delivery for my daughter-in-law and a healthy little boy.

  4. Not really wanting anything this year. Already got an early gift from inlaws which was something I've been longing for but knew I wouldn't get for sometime. Though every year I pray and wish to become pregnant around the holidays it would be a great "gift" not only for myself but others as well. But this year I have stopped asking it just isn't meant to be.

  5. My first thought was Smash book stuff. That's a new addition to my scrapbooking hobby, so I need all the stuff for it.

But, if I could be granted a wish for something I have no control over, I'd kidnap my niece, who is an adult but she is experiencing some serious angst at 18. She was blocked from the school she wanted to go to by an authority figure and money, like I was at 18, only difference is that she has given up her passion and drive and has almost accepted that she can't control her future; at 18! I'd give anything to get her out of that toxic environment. (She's on the frequent calls list with our phone plan so the time we're on the phone doesn't count because we only get 400 minutes a month!)

I have added your niece to my pray list. So young with so much ahead of her!

  6. I'd love for my sister and brother-in-law to spend Christmas with us, but it's not in the budget :(. As long as I have my kids with me, though, that's enough.
