Booking Through Thursday: Libraries

Booking Through Thursday: Libraries

Whether you usually read off of your own book pile or from the library shelves NOW, chances are you started off with trips to the library. (There’s no way my parents could otherwise have kept up with my book habit when I was 10.) So … What is your earliest memory of a library? Who took you? Do you have you any funny/odd memories of the library?

The earliest age I can remember going to the library is about age 5. My mother and grandmother took my brother (age 2) and I to the local library. I remember being in awe of all the books there! I wanted to stay there forever and read them all. Our town library was rather small and it did not take me long to read through the books there. Eventually mom had to take me to the "big city" library so that I would have something to read LOL.

  3. I think my first trip to the library might have introduced me to The Pokey Little Puppy. Loved that book. :-)
