Dona Nobis Pacem (Grant Us Peace): Change Your Climate

Blog4Peace 2019 is here! This year's theme is "Change Your Climate", which could mean anything from global climate change or changing your personal climate to a more peaceful one.

"Change Your Climate" to me is personal. I have been trying for many years now to find peace. I need peace within my soul. At one point in the past, I thought I had peace. But then my son, Colt, died. (See his photo above in my Peace Globe.)

When Colt died, my life changed in such a dramatic way that words cannot describe it. I live in a world of BC (Before Colt) and AC (After Colt).

Losing him means I have lost an entire lifetime of new memories, dreams, hopes, wishes and plans. All I have now are photos and old memory's...both of which I hang onto with all my might.

I have to take things minute by minute, because grief washes over me in waves at unexpected times. I miss Colt so damn much. I want him back in this world. I want to hear his voice again. I want to hug him again. But the reality of it is....that won't happen.

So, I do what I can to find peace. My search will continue to the day I die.

Words matter. Peace matters.
Together we can make a difference.
Join us in talking about and in celebrating peace!

  1. I am so sorry you lost Colt. I lost my wolf-Pup eight and a half years ago and still miss him to the point of tears. They are such totally loving beings. They give us so much. They leave such a big hole when they pass on. Peace to you, my friend, from one who understands only too well the path you are walking.

  2. I'm so sorry for your loss... No parent should lose a child.
Peace to you! 🌎 --> I leave this on every blog I visit today and I mean it every time, but for you just a little bit more.

  3. You know we love you. I respect your honesty so much. You don't pretend you're OK. You keep Colt's memory alive in everything you do.

I don't know how any parent survives this. But I think you have taught all of us how to keep it real...even when the real hurts like hell.

Wishing and praying you find some PEACE.
    Love, Mimi
