Tomorrow Starts Breast Cancer Awareness Month

What are the symptoms of breast cancer?

When breast cancer starts out, it is too small to feel and does not cause signs and symptoms.  As it grows, however, breast cancer can cause changes in how the breast looks or feels.  Symptoms may include—

New lump in the breast or underarm (armpit).
Thickening or swelling of part of the breast.
Irritation or dimpling of breast skin.
Redness or flaky skin in the nipple area or the breast.
Pulling in of the nipple or pain in the nipple area.
Nipple discharge other than breast milk, including blood.
Any change in the size or the shape of the breast.
Pain in any area of the breast.

How did you choose your baby's or pet's names? My daughter is named after her grandmothers.  My son is named after his father as his first name and his middle name is a name I liked for a long time.  My dog, Shelby is named after Carroll Shelby.  My angel dog, Annabelle was named after "Annabelle's Wish".

Have you ever been fishing? Yes, and I enjoy fishing as it is very relaxing.

Have you ever had your national flag painted on your face? No

What was the last social faux pas you made? Who knows.

What makes you nostalgic? Smells that remind me of home.

What's the scariest thing you've ever done? Gave birth

What fairy tale character would you most associate with? None of them really.

How much do you tend to swear in public? Depends on how mad  I am.

Who is the most intelligent person you know? My husband.

What's the craziest thing you've ever done for someone? Nothing I can think of.

If you had to describe yourself as a car, what would it be? Something big like an SUV since I am overweight.

First of all, is autumn your favorite season? Why or why not? It is my second favorite season.  I love the smell of Autumn and hay rides.  I also enjoy taking walks in the woods as the leaves are falling.

What kind of weather does your area get during this season? Cool temps, rain now and then and frost.

Were you born in an autumn month? I was born in October.

Do you pay attention to any ‘fall fashions’? No

Which leaf color is your favorite? Orange in the Fall, though I prefer green.

Is it still fun to rake the leaves and jump in piles of them? Yes.

When can you really tell that it’s autumn? When the leaves start to fall.

Do you enjoy carving pumpkins? Yes.

Do you eat the pumpkin seeds? If so, do you put any kind of flavoring on it? No.

Are you planning to go to a pumpkin patch this year?

Which was your favorite Halloween costume to wear?

Are you planning to go trick-or-treating? Why or why not? No, I am way to old for that.

Are there any county fairs or festivals held nearby during this time? Yes!

How can you tell that fall is over? When the first snow flakes start to fall.

What would you choose to be famous for?  Being kind.

If you have a webcam, are you ever paranoid people can see you? Yes, which is why I don't have a web cam.

Do you find it difficult to sleep at night? Any reason(s) why? Yes from being stressed and from worrying too much.

What about if you had to go on a reality show? I would prefer to not be on a reality show.

My in-laws are A W E S O M E!!!  Last Saturday they build new steps for my deck.  Thank you Mike, Tami, Judy, and Chuck.  Hubby was even allowed to help out :)  Thank you Hubs!

How much do you overeat at special occasions? (Birthdays, Christmas, etc) I overeat a lot, even when it is not a special occasion...that is why I am overweight.

When you hear your voice back on a recording, do you think it sounds awful? Yes.  I hate hearing my own voice.

When was the last time you got the hiccups? Last Thursday
