Sunday Stealing: Questions from The Friday Five

Welcome to this week's Sunday Stealing, which was stolen from the Friday Five.
1. What ONE thing would you change about your life? How would your life be different?

The one thing I would like to change about my life is that I would like to be less scared of leaving my house. If I felt like leaving my house more often I would see my loved ones more.

2. What is the hardest thing you have ever done? Why was it hard for you? What did you learn?

One of the hardest things I have ever done was to let me daughter go. I love her very much and I only want the best for her. It hurts very much being away from her and not talking to her but letting her go, I feel, gave her the best life possible.

3. Write about the most glorious moment in your life so far.

The births of my children were my most glorious moments. With my daughter I had a c-section and did not get to see her until she was two hours old. She was so tiny and perfect, with a head full of hair.  My son was born the natural way and I got to see him immediately. He too was so tiny and perfect, but not as much hair.

4. Write about a moment you felt brave.

When making funeral arrangements for my husband, I asked to see his body. I was so scared but knew deep down that I needed to see him one last time. His skin was so cold but he looked at peace.  I didn't cry while there but when I got home I sure did.

5. What made you happy today?

My dog made me happy today.  When we woke up this morning she snuggled with me and gave me hugs (she leans into me and I wrap my arms around her). This made getting up and facing the day worth it.
6. What did you dislike most about growing up?

I hated being taller than everyone and I hated the bullying and name calling that I received.

7. Write about five activities you love the most and why you love them.

I love playing with my do, working on plastic canvas projects, crocheting, watching TV, and sleeping.  All of these activities help me to relax and take my mind of negative things.

8. Do you have an embarrassing moment that still makes you cringe?

I can't remember exactly what I said, but I remember saying something incredibly stupid at my brother's wedding reception. I immediately regretted it and to this say I still get mad at myself for behaving that way.

9. What has been your best trip so far?

A trip to Six Flags (in Missouri) in 2004, with my kids, husband, brother, sister-in-law, niece and two nephews. We had a blast!
10. What traits (physical or personal) do people notice when they meet you for the first time?

Physically, I notice their eyes first....male or female. The eyes are truly windows to the soul in my opinion. As far as personal traits, I notice if they are kind, compassionate and empathetic.

11. Is social media a blessing or a curse?

Both....depends on the day. Some days it is great to see others living their best lives, other days seeing that makes me sad.

12. What is your greatest hope for your future? What steps can you take to make it happen?

A cure for cancer. I donate often to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the American Cancer Society.

13. What did you struggle most with today?

Getting out of bed. I would much rather just stay in bed all day and not deal with life.

14. Name the biggest priority in your life right now

Surviving each day.

15. What are 5 things you wish others knew about you.

I hate leaving my house but still want to be invited to things. I don't want to die, but know that one day I will. I have anxiety. I have panic attacks. And lastly, I do not like small talk and I consider small talk to be "fluff". I do not like fluff!

  1. I have a hard time making small talk but it's what most people want. I think how your pup wakes up is so special! Love that for y ou.
