Sunday Stealing: Thought Provoking Questions

This week's Sunday Stealing was stolen from Thought Provoking Questions.
Play along with us!
1. Do you own your things or do your things own you?

I own my things, nothing owns me.

2. Would you rather lose all of your old memories or never be able to make new ones?

I would rather keep my old memories because that is all I have left of many loved one, including my son, parents and grandparents.

3. When you are 80-years-old, what will matter to you the most?

Not dying.

4. What do you have that you cannot live without?

I have a lot of material things that I feel that I cannot live without but I know for a fact that I can live without them.  I cannot live without oxygen, water and food.

5. When you close your eyes what do you see?

I see darkness when I close my eyes.

6. What sustains you on a daily basis?

Coffee and/or tea.
7. What are your top five personal values?

Kindness, trustworthiness, honesty, compassion and respect.

8. What personal prisons have you built out of fears?

Fear of death keeps me locked in my own personal prison, along with the fear of never being good enough for anyone or anything.

9. What one thing have you not done that you really want to do?

I want to go parasailing.

10. If you haven’t achieved it yet what do you have to lose?

Fear of dying keeps me from trying parasailing.

11. What three words would you use to describe the last three months of your life?

Working, eating and sleeping.

12. Is it ever right to do the wrong thing? Is it ever wrong to do the right thing?

It depends on how far someone is willing to go, and depends on the situation.   It also depends on what the "wrong thing" or "right thing" is.  If it is a life or death situation....then the wrong thing may be the right thing to do in order to survive.
13. How would you describe ‘freedom’ in your own words?

Freedom, to me, is being able to sleep at night or take a nap without fear of being hurt or taken advantage of; not being told what to do or how to do it and not being suppressed or abused.

14. What is the most important thing you could do right now in your personal life?

Lose weight.

15. If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich?

Running a dog rescue. I love dogs!  Dogs bring joy and happiness to my life.
