Sunday Stealing: Friday 5

This week's Sunday Stealing were stolen from the Friday 5.

1) What one event from your lifetime would you change if you could, and why?

The death of my son.  I want him here with me. I want him to see how the world is changing. I want him to have more birthday's and experience life....I want him to be able to make more memories.

2) If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be and how old would your younger self be when they got it? Do you think your younger self would listen?

I would tell my younger self (around age 22) to not marry the first husband.  Sadly, I do not think my younger self would listen.

3) If you could have a conversation with the historical figure of your choosing, whom would you pick and why? What would you talk about?

I would love to talk to Ronald Reagan and ask him about his leadership style.

4) What's a safety rule that's very important to you?

Buckling my seatbelt every time I am in a vehicle, whether I am driving or I am the passenger.

5) What would you like to say to people in the future?

I would tell them to find peace...personal peace and world peace.

6) What's your favorite dish to bring to a summer cookout?

Potato salad.

7) How much time have you spent outdoors this week?

Very little.

8) Where do you set your thermostat?

Usually the thermostat is at 70 degres.

9) How did you learn to swim?

When I was very young, Dad threw me into the water and told me to swim.  I guess I did ok because I do not remember him coming into the water to save me.

10) How do you avoid overheating?

In the winter, I do not wear very many layers and I very rarely wear a winter coat.  In the Spring and Fall, I will wear a light jacket over a tee-shirt and in the Summer, I stay in air conditioned areas as much as possible.

11). What are you going to do this weekend?

I plan to go grocery shopping and to Walgreens to pick up a prescription.

12) What’s your favorite way to spend time?

I prefer to just sit at home either in front of my computer playing games, or laying in bed watching tv.

13) What’s the most useless thing you own that you would never get rid of?

I have some stuffed animals that I will not get rid of.  Yes, I am an adult but I still love stuffed animals...they bring me comfort and remind me of the good old days.

14) Have you started planning your next vacation?

I have not planned a vacation in many years.  I don't foresee going on vacation for a long time.

15) Are you very active, or do you prefer to just relax in your free time or is it one and the same to you?

I am not very active outside of my house.  In my house, I cook, clean, etc....that is enough activity for me.
