  1. The Captain and Tenille really are the sound of the 70s to me. I'm glad they topped the charts in 1980.

  2. I remember when every single one of those was popular! Great TT!

  3. With the exception of 2, 10, and 11, I have every one of these songs in my collection. I'll probably wind up buying 2 and 11 one of these days.

  4. How fun! I have the albums or 45's to all of these! Happy TT.

  5. Good list!

    The Pink Flamingo

  6. These were all hits in my freshman year of high school - talk about making me feel OLD!

  7. Wow, I didn't realize that Billy Joel song was from 80. Great list. Happy TT!

  8. A nostalgic list. I'll be singing all day now :-)

  9. Love blondie!!! Happy T13. Mine are up at a Daily Dose.
    A Daily Dose of Toni

  10. Oh, that may date me, I knew almost all the songs by title, and I know very, very little about music. My kids even say I hate music. LOL

  11. Thank you all for visiting :)

I was 10 years old in 1980 and I remember all the songs listed...I still listen to them!

  12. Oh, this brings back memories! I was at the dewey, romantic beginning of what turned out to be a long and really twisted relationship. But when these songs were popular, everything was still sweet and good. Sigh. (Thanks for visiting my TT)

  13. Great list of 70's songs. I like McCartney's best.

My TT is up at 13 Myths about Barack Obama

  14. Yep - I can *still* play each of them in my head! Can't remember where I put my car keys, though ;D

My TT this week is on the top movies of the 80's. Stop by and check it out.

  15. Huh, I don't have any of these on my MP3, but I remember them. Happy TT!

  16. I remember all of these.

    Happy TT.

  17. had to laugh I pulled up your site and I was a mirror of your picture of you. Sitting there with my chin in my hand lol. Love your tt

  18. A great list of songs! I think a lot of those are still very known today.
    Thanks for visiting my TT.

  19. Good Afternoon Shannon!!! What a great list for thirteen. I love the idea. Numbers 9 and 10 I can remember well.

Thanks for the visit and cool comment!!!

  20. I didn't remember It's Only Rock and Roll To Me being that old.

I can't believe I'm about to admit this, but the very first concert I ever went to was Captain and Tenille (slinks away in shame).

  21. Timeless music. :) Awesome list!

  22. Great List. I was a young mom in those days and listened to ALOT of music...
