Becca says..."The 'Give Me Five' Monday meme is designed to share fun information with each other in a simple short list! Here's how it works. Each week, I will put out a random topic from my list of topics and you share 5 answers of your choice on the given topic and link back here! You can add photos, links or stories or just a simple list of your own of 5 things that relate to the topic as it pertains to you and your life experiences. It doesn't have to be in any order of importance unless otherwise specified."

Give Me Five of your favorite breakfast foods.
1. Scrambled Eggs
2. Biscuits and Gravy
3. Hash Browns
4. Bacon
5. Crackling Oat Bran (Cereal)

  1. I wasn't hungry when I got up, but the more I read I seem to be craving bacon and eggs!

  2. In our house, we ate full breakfast meals at dinner time too. Breakfast food isn't just for mornings, I agree! Everyone has such yummy lists and I didn't even get up early enough to eat any breakfast this morning so it's even harder for me! LOL

  3. A lot of people have said biscuits and gravy, but I've never had it before. What kind of gravy is it, just normal gravy?

  4. Becca...I love having breakfast later in the day :)

    Tammy...Here is a basic recipe.

3/4 pound of sausage (fatty sausage works best for this)
    4 cups of milk
    4-6 tablespoons of flour

Prepare biscuits as instructed on package. Brown sausage in skillet. As soon as sausage is completely brown, turn to medium heat. Add flour by the tablespoon, stirring constantly. Let the flour turn BROWN before adding another tablespoon (if you don't, your gravy will taste like flour). After you have added enough flour to make the gravy as thick as you like, add milk and stir with whisk. Serve over biscuits.

  5. After reading all these lists today, I'm thinking we will have to have breakfast for dinner one of these nights this week. Eggs and biscuits, sausage, hash browns, all of it.
