Sunday Stealing: The Simple Life

 https://sundaystealing.blogspot.com/
What are five things you would like to do more.  Sleep more at night; travel more often; lose a lot of weight; spend more time with family and friends; and more time cleaning my house.

What is your quote to live by? "Someone once asked me how I hold my head up so high after all I have been through. I said, it's because no matter what, I am a survivor, NOT a victim." (- Patricia Buckley)

What was the best thing that happened this week? I received a promotion at work.

What is something you are stressed about? Everything.

What book has influenced your life? None that I can think of.

Share a childhood memory: As a child I like to make tents in our yard out of sheets and blankets.  I would take snacks and books out to my tent and spend the day relaxing and reading.  My own little "library world".

What fictional character would you most like to be? A Fairy Godmother or anyone that can grant me wishes.

What is something you are proud of? My children

What was the last thing you celebrated? My mother-in-law's birthday.

What are weird things you like?  Teddy Bears, Yoshi and Minions (stuffed toys, figurines)

What is your favorite song to sing? "Thunder" by Imagine Dragons

Name three things you do well: Work, eat and drive.

What are your priorities in life? Family, Work

What is something that scares you? Death

Best book you read this year? None really stood out to me as being the best of the year.  Although I have read a few really good books.

  1. I love the notion of your book tent! How cozy.

I hadn't heard of Imagine Dragons before -- I can see how Thunder would be an easy ear worm!

  2. I just read a psych book that said often the difference between how people move past a tragedy is based on whether they see themselves as victim or survivor. You're doing it right.
Congratulations on the promotion! That is awesome.
The book tent sounds heavenly. We should all have book tents as adults to escape to, don't you think?

  3. Love this group. Thanks for featuring them. I also love your childhood memory. Your own little tent. Laura used to do that, only hers was a sort of tiny cabana up in the corner of the garden with palm leaves for a roof and a floor her daddy built for her "house". Fond memories. Take care, Luv! Wishing you a good week, and many outstanding books, soon.
